The CR OCS (Office Car Special) was originally painted the standard blue/white until 1983 when then CEO Stanley L. Crane ordered the train painted green and gold. (Reminiscent of his Southern days).
The original power was CR 4022 (xEL 833) and early on very rarely CR 4014 (xEL 825) until CR 4020 (xPRR 5809) and CR 4021 (xPRR 5711) were acquired from Amtrak with HEP.
The OCS was used as a business tool for the sales and marketing department and an inspection tool for the Executive Board and Management.
It was stationed in three locations through the years; Reading, Enola, and Altoona.
