CR 6743 Altoona, PA 8-18-1978

With an EL E-8A beside and an ex-PC RS-3 behind, CR C628 6743 (ex-PC 6305) rests retired in the Juniata shops deadlines in August, 1978. The E-8A's number board shows "8 ? 2." The cab unit was not the ex-DL&W dual-headlight 812(CR 4002) or 822(CR 4012), as that unit appeared in a different section of the deadline, but appears to have been 832. Judging by the condition of 832, CR may have taken this unit's number for the rebuilt unit later used as part of the OCS (CR 4021).
