The CE16B class of covered hoppers was built by Pullman Standard during July 1970 as EL 20150-20279. Cars were assigned to CR 886181-886540 series. Series is not solid because the cars were renumbered around other cars joining the fleet. Some cars were also renumbered into the CR 886006-886178 series which were allocated for EL 20025-20074 class CE15B cars that were transfered to the D&H in April 1976. EL 20215 survived well into the Conrail era in pure EL paint when it was sold and became NRLX 47316. Cars are rated at 100 tons, 4740 cuft & are 56ft long.
