CR 9628, the last former Reading MP15DC operating on Conrail is seen in 1989, just prior to being stored.

Conrail's ten former Reading MP15's rarely strayed from the service area they were originally intended for. That being primarily the Reading area and the anthracite coal regions. By early December of 1989, nine of the ten were removed from service and placed into storage at Enola pending expiration of the lease at the end of the year. 9628 seen here just before Christmas would continue to work out of Reading for most of December before it too joined the storage line.
