On Feb. 27, 2007, NS 6729 was the first SD60I on a coal train to PPL's Montour Power Plant. The unit was tested and modified if necessary for clearance through the dumper. This was the start of NS's upgrading assigned power from SD40-2s to SD60Is. Seen here, NS 6729 leads a trio of assigned SD40-2s on the empty NS 537 departing the power plant. Also, at this time the power plant was undergoing "scrubber" installation.
