SRS 134 at Ottawa, PA 5/28/1986

Sperry Rail Service 134 works east, seen passing the long since shutdown and now demolished Smith's Mill. In earlier years of mill operation, a siding track from the east to the mill also crossed the road. And in decades earlier the Ottawa (originally California in 1886) station was located east of the road crossing along this siding. At this time Strick Trailer Corporation's Danville Plant was located behind the old mill, and in 2002 Great Dane Trailers acquired this Strick facility.
