A westbound freight on Conrail's Chicago Line (former NYC) approaches the Clark Road grade crossing and MP 499 signals on the far west side of Gary, IN in October 1994. Since these are intermediates, there is apparently an eastbound train off in the distance that still hasn't cleared the block yet or that signal would be green instead of yellow.
