The head end of TV8B completes the transition from the old track 1 to the old track 2 at MP 123 in Chester, MA. on Dec. 30, 1987. The remnant of the old track 1 lies to the left of the engines. Immediately ahead is the Old State Road overhead bridge, one of several pony truss bridges which were eventually replaced with more modern, but less appealing, esthetically, structures.
