At 09:15, TV-6 drops out of the west cut at an area on the east slope of Washington hill known as the "new location". Called such because an approximately one and a half mile section of the railroad was relocated between roughly mile 128.8 and 130.2 in 1912. Construction of this stretch in Becket, MA. consisted of excavating two cuts which supplied the fill on which the train is seen. It eliminated two river crossings, some drainage problems, and eased curvature.
